Costs of Participation

• For the trucker:

  • One-time cost of transponder ($45), which is good for the life of the transponder. No cost if truck already has compatible transponder.

• For the state:

  • Membership fees (if any) for new organization to be determined by working group.
  • New site installation costs about $100K plus costs of mainline WIM (optional).
  • Annual O&M currently about $17K per site
