Abstract: With passage of the The Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 state and regional transportation programs in the United States have placed increased emphasis on planning system improvements from a multimodal perspective. However, most of the planning methods and tools available to transportation planners were developed to address needs from the perspective of a single mode. The purpose of this project is to develop a multimodal transportation investment analysis methodology that will permit the analysis of transportation investmenyts from a systemwide perspective.
Phase Two involved the mathematical specification of the model, as well as the identification and evaluation of data sources needed to make the model operational.
