About the research
Research objective: The work described in this proposal is to complete a synthesis of practice related to dealing with shared left turn lanes at signalized intersections. This research provides a first step in documenting the state of practice, crash experiences, and operations and signal control strategies to improve safety and efficiency at approaches having these conditions.
