Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium

August 18–19, 2005, in Ames, Iowa
August 18–19, 2005, Iowa will host its fifth, biennial Mid-Continent Transportation Research Symposium.
This event provides a Midwestern venue for sharing cutting-edge research and practical solutions.
The symposium highlights practitioners reporting on their own research, the use and benefits of research, and implemented research products.
Research findings will also be presented by university researchers, public agencies, engineers and planners, consultants, and association staff members.
Submit an abstract
If you have a project of interest to the transportation community, you are invited to submit an abstract of a formal paper to be considered for presentation at the symposium.
Abstracts must be no longer than 500 words or two double-spaced pages including figures and tables.
They should include information about the authors, their affiliations, their addresses, and e-mail and telephone contact information.

- Research provides practical solutions for today’s transportation problems.
- The project will likely provide cutting-edge results.
- The abstract is written clearly and succinctly.
- Research results will include tangible findings or products (technology, equipment, processes, etc.).
Acceptance of abstracts
Authors of selected abstracts will be notified by March 15, 2005. They will be invited to submit a paper and present their research at the conference.
To be included in the symposium CD, papers must be submitted no later than June 1, 2005.
