There are also some historic circular intersections in rural areas. One of those is in Dallas County at the intersection of 335th Street and X Avenue, encircling a pioneer cemetery. Age is unknown and considerable modification would be needed to meet current design standards for a modern roundabout. Another has been identified in the town of Spillville in Winneshiek County, age unknown but not of modern design.
