Favorite project: Re-vamping CTRE’s look
"From the first week that I started at CTRE, I have been working to find ways for our publications to have a more unified look. That might sound easy, but the truth is this center grows on a monthly basis, and each center/program has its own look. There are currently nine centers/programs, and several other start-up programs in the works. The identity system that we have created will help show the relationship each program has to Iowa State, and to the other programs here at CTRE."
Challenging project: The Concrete Pavement Roadmap (Long-Term Plan for Concrete Pavement Research and Technology)
"The CP Roadmap required our group to envision future concrete pavement practices, techniques, and machinery. As we worked together with the final illustrations, my goal was to develop graphics that looked modern enough to lead the viewers into new ways of thinking, without going so far out that it lost credibility or became unbelievable."
