Expo becomes “road show”

Who can participate, where, and when in the Iowa Streets and Roads Conference

The annual Iowa Maintenance Training Expo has a new name and format. To make attendance more convenient for Iowa’s street and road workers, the new Iowa Streets and Roads Conference has been divided into modules, based on participant needs, and is going on the road.

Two events—equipment operator training and the Better Mousetrap competition—will be offered together at three locations on different dates:

Two other events—the Iowa Secondary Roads Maintenance Supervisor Association (ISRMSA)/American Public Works Association (APWA) annual conference and the Snowplow and Motor Grader Roadeos—will be held only in conjunction with the Ames event, October 12–14.

Registration

Anyone wanting to participate in any of these events, regardless of ISRMSA membership, can register using the Iowa Streets and Roads Conference brochure, which was mailed in August, or register online using our standard form or our Roads Scholar form.
