Transportation Scholars Conference 2006
Sixteen students presented 10 papers at the Transportation Scholars Conference at Iowa State University (ISU) last November.
Mustafa Birkan Bayrak, graduate student in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at ISU, was named winner of the 2006 research paper competition. He was awarded a $1000 prize for his paper, “Backcalculation of Layer Moduli for Jointed Plain Concrete Pavement Systems Using Artificial Neural Networks.”
