LODGING: People wishing to attend the conference and/or Pooled Fund Meeting are urged to stay at the Doubletree Hotel St Louis at Westport, 1973 Craigshire, St. Louis, MO 63146, Phone 314-434-0100, Fax 314-434-5067.
Airport shuttle transportation is available near the beginning of each hour from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight by calling the hotel from the baggage claim area. The shuttles noted as Sheridan or Doubletree Westport will be the pickup vans. They also make routine stops at Main Terminal Gate 18 and the East Terminal Gate 15 on each hourly run.
The room rates are $90 plus tax per room per night for MCO state employees (who are pre-identified on a list at the hotel) and $101 per night for all others. A block of rooms has been reserved for the evenings of April 17, 18 and 19, 2006. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel at 314-464-0100, and identifying yourself with the Midwest Concrete Consortium/MCO Pooled Fund Meeting. The reservation block will expire on March 31, 2006.
If you are a state DOT member of the MCO Pooled Fund TAC, your travel and room reservations should be made directly through Denise Wagner, CTRE 515-294-5798 (dfwagner@iastate.edu). She will also register you for both the MCO and MCC meeting. The hotel has a list of approved committee members and will direct bill your room to the Pooled Fund Study.
All others should identify themselves as members of the Midwest Concrete Consortium. To obtain the rate shown, you must also identify your affiliation at the time of arrival. Make reservations soon to assure yourself of these rates.
REGISTRATION: The registration fee for the Midwest Concrete Consortium meeting is $100. This fee includes the cost of the meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment, conference materials, refreshment breaks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners on Tuesday and Wednesday night suppers, for April 18 and 19, 2006.
Checks for the registration should be made out to Iowa State University. ADVANCE REGISTRATION (PRIOR TO MARCH 31, 2006) IS ENCOURAGED. Registration payments can be sent in advance to Jim Cable, 378 Town Engineering Building, ISU, Ames, Iowa 50011 to facilitate the planning process. Please forward the registration information shown below in advance to assist the organization in determining food and room arrangements.
