Problem Statement
Alkali-Silica reactivity (ASR) has been reported as a cause of concrete deterioration in Michigan's pavements. Those also containing blast-furnace slag coarse aggregates have caused problems.
Research Objectives
Investigate the significance of ASR attributed to the fine aggregates used in Michigan's pavements and structures.
