Iowa LTAP has moved from CTRE to the Institute for Transportation
Welcome to the Iowa LTAP website
As Iowa's Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) center, CTRE is dedicated to helping Iowa's local governments keep up with growing demands on local roads, streets, bridges, and public transportation. The center provides technical and management assistance to Iowa's local transportation officials through a variety of programs.
Supervisory Techniques and Skills
This course, formerly known as Successful Management, has been available online and on demand since April 2008 through Iowa State University's Engineering Distance Education program. Once a student registers (for $75), s/he has up to 6 months to complete it.
Roads Scholar program
All Iowa personnel who have taken LTAP training are automatically entered in the Roads Scholar program. The program tracks participants' hours of training and progress through the curriculum.
Individuals and supervisors can access training records online and register for workshops online (payment must be sent separately).
