centers & programs
CTRE can quickly tackle new or persistent challenges, often assembling ad hoc agency-industry-university partnerships to meet specific needs as they are identified. These "logo programs" secure funding and stakeholder buy-in, sponsor or manage focused research, and ensure that results become conventional practice. Sometimes related needs spin off into separate efforts.
As a result, CTRE now manages an in-flux, resilient cluster of programs that produce implementable products and meet real needs and that can dissolve or evolve as needs are met and new ones identified. Synergy among these efforts is fostered by sharing CTRE's physical space, academic and technical expertise, and support services.
The graphic below depicts the relationship of these programs to CTRE. Click the graphic to view an Flash animation of the "wheel" to see how CTRE's logo changes, depending on the program.
