About the conference
This third International Conference on Weigh-in-Motion (ICWIM3) builds
on two earlier conferences which were sponsored by COST323, the committee
for European cooperation in the field of weigh-in-motion.
ICWIM3 has the following objectives:
- Report on recent research projects in the WIM field
- Report on applications of WIM technology
- Report on tests of WIM systems
- Provide an international forum for discussing issues relating to WIM
standards, research, and applications
- Facilitate the meeting of manufacturers and users in an exhibition of the
latest WIM products and technologies
- Review developments since the last international WIM conference
Who should attend
A broad spectrum of professionals will be interested in the information to be
shared at this three-day conference:
- agencies responsible for using traffic information to support freight
mobility and safety and road pricing
- managers of commercial vehicle operations
- agencies responsible for vehicle weight enforcement
- agencies responsible for roadway construction and maintenance
- manufacturers and users of WIM technologies
- university, public, and private researchers in freight logistics,
vehicle-road interaction, WIM data analysis, etc.
