Workshop Description

This workshop takes a comprehensive look at effective communication strategies. It includes an overview of public
relations and various types of communication, as well as presentation skills, and conducting effective meetings. This workshop is module 3 of the Iowa Public Employees Leadership Academy.

“Meeting User Demands” Conference

October 1–2, 2008

Conference Description

2008 has been an unusual year in Iowa with the impact of dramatic weather. Everyone is under more stress to provide a high level of service. This conference will focus on weather trends and impact of weather, managing frost boils, changes to the MUTCD, and Iowa’s Public Employees Leadership Academy. There will also be a business meeting to elect a vice president and representatives and alternates from districts 3 and 6.
