Green Scholars
Beginning in 2002, the engineering consulting firm Howard R. Green Company is sponsoring an annually renewable research assistantship to a graduate student in transportation at Iowa State University. Students holding this assistantship will be known as "Green Scholars."
Selection criteria for the assistantship include
- United States citizenship
- acceptance by Iowa State for graduate study in either civil engineering (with an emphasis on transportation) or the interdisciplinary transportation master's degree program
- academic merit demonstrated by
- a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- GRE scores
- work and academic references
- examples of past work
Green Scholars will work on transportation-related research projects at CTRE.
