Give generic introduction to topic, and specific background infrormation for your project area; orient the reader to the study area
Problem understanding/statement
Restate the assignment in your own words, bringing in new, relevant information where appropriate to show you have a clear understanding of the problem; write for an intelligent, uninformed audience
Methodology/approach
In this case, restate, in summary form, the methodology to be followed (since it was given to you); in other projects, clearly state the methods you will use to approach and solve the problem; state anticipated results; state why you are doing things and cite references
Analysis
Show equations used and results; give samples and put remainder in appendix if lengthy
Conclusions/recommendations
What can you conclude from your analysis? Separate analytical conclusions from opinions; state recommendations clearly - if no clear winner, say so; suggest alternative approaches if applicable; assess your confidence in the results
