Turning Movement

The turning movement information can be brought into MapInfo to display model turning movement counts as specified intersection. To operate this feature, the Tranplan control file must contain the save turns options for the nodes of interest. Then. running the Tranplan-MapInfo interface, the turning movement information can displayed as follows:



The turning movement figures can represent key factors for the interchange such as ramp volumes and freeway volumes that will be used in the HCS analysis as well as providing some better understanding into how the model is assigning trips to the network.

     Select any of the options to receive more information or click on the back button to return to the GIS analysis page or the site map button to go to the site map.
