Coordinated Management Database

     The roadway data from the coordinated management system database includes all the roadways in the state with the exception of the institutional roads.













     For each segment, the database gives important information such as the average daily traffic (used to determine the major roadways to include in the model and data for validating the model), speed limit used to code the model, and number of lanes which is useful to determine roadway capacity.














  An example view of the database in MapInfo format is provided.

 The data from the coordinated Management System Database provides several key pieces of information needed to develop the traffic model. The key limitation to the database is the absence of street names and address ranges (requiring the TIGER or ArcView street data).
