About the research
Research objective: A goal of this project is to understand the true seismic behavior of the cap-to-girder connection as currently used and mitigate the potential seismic hazard associated with these bridges. The researchers will design a prototype bridge and using simple and sophisticated analysis models, investigate the expected seismic performance of the connection and the prototype.
