SALTAR Friction Meter

The SALTAR Friction Meter is specifically designed to be mounted under a winter maintenance vehicle. The purpose of the friction meter is to measure the surface condition of winter pavements. The SALTAR design is a result of the outcome of Phase II of the Concept Vehicle pooled fund study, as described in Focus Magazine.
